This website

This website does not use advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, account registration, contact forms or marketing cookies. It does not write preferences to browser storage.

Cloudflare delivers and secures the website and necessarily processes ordinary connection data such as IP address, request time, requested page and basic device or browser headers.

The closed-beta game

The game currently has no player accounts and does not request a name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone access. Match state, selected actions and session identifiers are processed to run online matches.

An IP-derived pseudonymous key is used for abuse prevention and expires after approximately ten seconds. Match room data is held for the life of the match. Local language, audio and graphics preferences remain on the player’s device; a temporary reconnection token remains in that browser session.

Why information is processed

Connection and session information is processed to deliver the requested site or match, maintain service reliability, prevent abuse and investigate security incidents. The legal basis is the company’s legitimate interest in operating and protecting the service; information needed to provide an invited beta session is also processed to perform that service.

Providers and international processing

Cloudflare provides the website network and static hosting. Hetzner provides the game server infrastructure. These providers process information on the company’s behalf and may process it outside the visitor’s country using the safeguards applicable to their services.

Retention

Match-room state is deleted when the room ends, the abuse-prevention key expires after approximately ten seconds, and the browser reconnection token ends with the browser session. Provider connection and security records are retained only for the periods needed to deliver, protect and troubleshoot their services, then deleted or aggregated under the providers’ retention schedules.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; UK users may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office. The service does not make legal or similarly significant decisions about players through automated processing.

No advertising or sale of data

Ability Roulette does not currently include advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, behavioural profiles or sale of personal information.
